Slave Rules

1. - Absolute obedience and exquisite beauty always

2. - If in doubt refere to rule 1

3. - The Free are always right even when wrong, so do not give your opinion unless asked for it. The last words in any conversation/argument should be; "yes, Master/Mistress".

4. - Respect the first girl, second girl and trainers..they are there to help you - not for you to bitch at..

5. - Lazy slaves will not be tolerated. Be prepared to work hard or don't come into the room. If you're in a bad mood. don't come in. Leave your RT at the door - no ooc conversations in the room. Posting insults will not be tolerated.

6. - When entering the room, set your entry to 20 back posts. That way you will know where people are. Saves the embarassment of for instance asking to serve Someone who might be out in the plains! This also stops you from walking into the middle or a raid. Remember yoru actions might get a Free hurt, and your life is not worth a Frees.
Also make sure you read the Message board before you enter.

7. Greeting - Always greet Your Owner first. If you are not personally owned, greet the Ubar first - but only greet those within your area. It is not becoming for a slave to yell across the camp. You may make one ooc post greeting those who are not near your area ((greetings Masters Mistress's and slaves)) and then greet Those near you properly.

8. Serving - Read the serving 101 thread for serving expectations. You will ask to serve the Free individually - and starting with the Men - then the Free Women. No slave in kassar will shout "may i serve anyone". Get to your feet and take the time and respect to kneel and ask each Free properly. If there are more than 8 Free and only 2 slaves in the home, you may fetch a tray of drinks an take them to each Free. offering them a drink from the tray to make sure Everyone is served.

9. Chores - the chore expectations are high. In a 7 day week - if rt allowing you this much - do 3 chores. Chore expectations are explained on the Chore board. Those that don't complete their chores without a good excuse, will be punished.

10.Travelling - No slave of Kassar will be allowed to travel without a Free. NO Npc escorts will be allowed. If a Master already went to the fair and you weren't online, then tough - you stay at home. Unless the Free invites you, you aren't going anywhere.

11. Slave suicide and escape - slave suicides will not be recognised in Kassar.

There is also no escape from Kassarian lands. The Outriders patrol the lands beyond the camp and during the night there are sleen patrols So don't try to run unless you wish to get hurt. The punishment for runaways by the Book was to have a hand cut off and your eye put out - and to be branded - then left to seek out an existance as best you could. Not a pretty punishment.

12. Weapons and anything that could be used as a weapon
It is a misconception that slaves were not allowed to touch weapons. They were - but under supervision.
Sharp impliments are often used in the daily life around camp, so if you need to use something - ask a FREE.
eg. a knife for skinning and boning. you might also get asked to clean Your Owners weapons. Always make sure you are supervised, and remember you can and will be punished if you use the item in the wrong manner.

12. Coins - If you are given coin use a piece of cloth to pick it up or have it put to a pouch if you have one. Don't take it in your lips unless the Free is insistant. Spit on a coin isn't very attractive.

13.Gifts - If you are given a gift by a Free. it be from a piece of jewelry to a candy, remember it is not yours to keep unless you ask permission of your Owner. In the case of camp slaves, your owner is the Ubar.

14.Raids - As in nomads it is stated that wagons were often burnt during raids. so this doesn't make this a particulary good hiding place. If a raid should occur, you will stop what you are doing - be it a chore or serving and make your way to the supply wagon - make it in two posts. Once all slaves are within, close the door and stay silent until the raid is over.

15. Visitors and PM's - If you are in the home and a Guest enters, wait until they have rp'd to your area and a Free has welcomed them, before you greet. You may only greet first if there is no other Free around.
You may not PM a Free without permission.

if a Guest PM's - you post it in the open.

16. - The testing of vessels. Chips and flaws happen during service and everyday use.
H owever - as a slave - you must take care how you test them. Your body is not your own to damage - you belong to a Master Who will get very annoyed if you injure or scar yourself - and in this manner - devaluing His property. Due to this, never test the rim of a vessel on your neck,wrist - face or inner thigh.
Testing with a soft cloth is preferable.

17. - slaves do not pray. To pray is sacrilige - no Woman in a wagon camp was allowed to pray. They bought the Sky Gods favor from the Haruspex.

18. The bosk - The bosk are the Mother of the wagon people. To harm a bosk is sacrilige, and
any slave found harming a bosk can expect to get the harshest of punishments.

19. slave drama and jealousy - Drama is not welcome in this camp. If you are an FW enslaved - tough shit. FW were taught from birth how to behave if enslaved - so deal with it.
Jealousy was in the books, and is a natural emotion. However - if it starts to intefere with camp life, you will be punished. Put your emotions to better use, and channel them into your serves and chores.

20. - No slave will eat from a Free's hand, unless that Free is their Owner.

21. - If you have a problem, follow the slave chain of command.

If words of your troubles reach Ubars ears - He's likely to get angry, so do NOT bother Him. He is busy enough already.

22. - Ubars word is LAW These rules are subject to change by Him so keep checking them to see if any changes have been made. Ignorance will not be an excuse.
